President

Brandi Quinn is the President of maCares. Her passion and compassion are contagious. For the past 15 years, Brandi has spearheaded different projects in the community. She has encouraged and inspired the maCares committee and volunteers to give back to the community in a variety of ways and can always be found at the center of it all, working tirelessly to support the various organizations that maCares supports. Brandi and her husband, Mike, live in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina with their three beloved dogs, Scooter, Cooper, and Peanut.
FAITH HINKLEY

My name is FAITH HINKLEY, and I’m a service dog to Sgt. Terry White, PH IOF. You’ve probably seen me around the Market America office or at one of their events. I’m the pretty blonde with the big smile. The wonderful maCares team is pretty fond of me, and they’ve decided to devote Friday’s blog post to my stories, pearls of wisdom, and “tails” of others giving back to their communities. We’ll call it “Fridays with FAITH”.

What you may not know about me is that I’m named after someone special. The flag that represents this great country flies high on the flag pole for my namesake’s sacrifice. I am named in memory of US Army Sergeant Faith Hinkley, who died on August 7, 2010 in Iskandariya, Iraq. Faith was part of the 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion, 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Through me, Faith Hinkley’s legacy lives on, helping and healing another wounded soldier.

maCares loves making a difference in the lives of veterans and animals. Please consider donating or getting involved with maCares so they can continue supporting veterans and dogs like Terry and me, and honoring heroes like Faith Hinkley.
Emma Miller
Project Manager

Emma Miller is the maCares Project Manager. She has a passion for philanthropy and is an active volunteer within the community. She enjoys living in Downtown Greensboro and discovering local hidden gems. Born and raised in North Carolina, Emma is a lover of all thing UNC. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise and Sport Science. While attending UNC, Emma was an active member in Student Government and her sorority, Alpha Phi. Her background is in anatomy and physiology, marketing, and event coordination.
