Hello my FAITH-ful readers! I’ve been wagging my tail from excitement while I’ve been getting ready to visit Miami again to see YOU at the Market America World Conference. Terry, Jill and I are counting down the days until we get to see the friendly, familiar faces and meet new friends while we are raising awareness at the maCares booth. I can’t wait for you to learn more about how maCares is helping provide emergency veterinary care for rescued animals and is ‘Helping Service Dogs Help Others’. But they need your help! This World Conference, maCares has paw-rrific activities listed below that you can take part in, at the maCares booth at Section 115.
Get ready to spin the day away on the maCares’ Spin Wheel! Take your chance on the popular maCares Spin Wheel to win entries into a drawing for high demand items like a ticket to the #MAIC2018 or a Market America product basket valued at over $600! Each spin is only $1.00 and there’s no limit to the number of times you can spin!
Get your paws on the maCares OPERATION UNIFORM gear of hand-crafted crossbody bags, wristlets, and tablet covers repurposed from retired combat military uniforms. Quantities are limited so make sure to stop by early! If you’re not attending MAWC, you can still purchase an OPERATION UNIFORM item by emailing the maCares team at weCare@maCares.org.
maCares & faith Cares Branded Items
maCares has something for everyone, even your 4-legged friends! Help maCares spread awareness while showing your support while rocking one of the new colors of the ‘Helping Service Dogs Help Others’ t-shirt (adult: crew neck, V-neck, and long sleeve; youth- crew neck), branded dog bandanas (available in 2 sizes) and PopSockets, and the expansion notecard sets featuring the 6 most recently welcomed maCares & faith Cares service dogs my fellow furry friends: GRIFFIN, KIARA, BO, SUGAR, TAHOE, & HUNDLEY! Be sure to get your paws on all of these great items before they are gone!
CHANGE FOR A CHANGE
Help yours truly and my veteran, Terry, help others by bringing your loose change to MAWC2018 for the Change for a Change collection. Donations help fund the Service Dog Support Program which covers the continual costs of service dogs (like ME). Your Change for a Change donation will help cover with the costs for re-certification, veterinary care and medications, grooming, food, and supplies for me and my 4-legged service dog friends. And get this- all donations collected for Change for a Change will be matched up to $1,500! So bring your coins (and bills) to help us make a difference in the lives of others!
You can also donate online at www.maCares.org by clicking the ‘Please Donate’ button. Please let us know your reason for giving is for the Change for a Change Program.
If you’re not attending MAWC, you can still help us! Contact the maCares team at weCare@maCares.org to learn how you can host a Pennies for Pups drive at your school, church, or civic organization.
If you’re not able to stop by to see Terry and yours truly at the maCares booth at MAWC to learn more about the maCares 2018 charitable initiatives, connect with us over social media to catch up on the latest news and for ways on how you can help make a difference! You can also contact us at weCare@maCares.org with questions and merchandise requests for a maCares t-shirt, dog bandana, PopSocket, Expansion Pack Notecard set, or an OPERATION UNIFORM crossbody bag, tablet cover, or wristlet.
Terry, Jill, and your favorite 4-legged service dog/friend are all looking forward to seeing you at the maCares booth and getting YOUR help in making a difference in the lives of others!

My name is FAITH, and I'm a service dog to Sgt Terry White, PH IOF. You've probably seen me around the Market America office or at one of their events. I'm the pretty blonde with the big smile The wonderful maCares team is pretty fond of me, and they've decided to devote each Friday's blog post to my stories, pearls of wisdom, and "tails" of others giving back to their communities. We'll call it "Fridays with Faith". What you may not know about me is that I'm named after someone special. The flag that represents this great country flies high on the flag pole for my namesake's sacrifice. I am named in memory of U.S. Army Sergeant Faith Hinkley, who died on August 7, 2010 in Iskandariya, Iraq. Faith was part of the 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion, 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Through me, Faith Hinkley's legacy lives on, helping and healing another wounded soldier. maCares loves making a difference in the lives of veterans and animals. Please consider donating or getting involved with maCares so they can continue supporting veterans and dogs like Terry and me, and honoring heroes like Faith Hinkley.
